My mission: to provide you with effective headshots at an affordable price, and to create an environment of fun and relaxation during the shoot. I'm an actor. I get it. Headshot sessions can often be un-fun. I'm here to demolish that perception. I know what you need to get out of a headshot session, and I think being an actor myself gives me an insight into how to get you those great, specific "looks"
My method: chat. goof around. tell bad jokes. talk about where we're from. suggest characters I see in you, both archetypal and from movies/TV. tell you to move around a little. get excited and tell you "show me that again". in no way shape or form say things like "stand on your left big toe, arch your back, pretend you're holding a fishbowl in your right hand, now.. chin down, right eyebrow up.. ok hold that for 3 minutes.."
I might improv with you. do some "line readings" and have you react. In short, anything to bring out the different versions of you that casting may want to see..

THE SHOOT
Research wardrobe before the shoot. What are your character types? How do you want to market yourself? Watch film and television to see how those characters dress, and do your best to bring wardrobe options that fit.
- As a general rule, I'd suggest bringing at least one bright color, and one darker earth tone.
- Blazers, hoodies, scarves, umbrellas, or glasses can add variety to a number of outfits (best option for glasses are frames you can pop the lenses out of)
- Feel free to bring props related to a skill, sport, or hobby
- Avoid solid whites and blacks, unless you plan on wearing something else with it.
Makeup & Hair - I know some makeup artists and can help you get a quote from them, or feel free to bring your own. You will be responsible for handling their payment.
Please schedule the makeup artist to arrive at least 10 minutes before our scheduled session so they can get set up and started. I try to accommodate, but if your hair/makeup person shows up late, it may shorten our shooting time.
