THE SHOOT
Research wardrobe before the shoot. What are your character types? How do you want to market yourself? Watch film and television to see how those characters dress, and do your best to bring wardrobe options that fit.
- As a general rule, I'd suggest bringing at least one bright color, and one darker earth tone.
- Blazers, hoodies, scarves, umbrellas, or glasses can add variety to a number of outfits (best option for glasses are frames you can pop the lenses out of)
- Feel free to bring props related to a skill, sport, or hobby
- Avoid solid whites and blacks, unless you plan on wearing something else with it.
Makeup & Hair - I know some makeup artists and can help you get a quote from them, or feel free to bring your own. You will be responsible for handling their payment.
Please schedule the makeup artist to arrive at least 10 minutes before our scheduled session so they can get set up and started. I try to accommodate, but if your hair/makeup person shows up late, it may shorten our shooting time.
Finally, I can not stress this enough: Headshots are a team effort! I bring my camera, my knowledge, my personality, and my passionate desire to get you the best photos for the best money.. and to have fun in the process! YOU must bring fantastic wardrobe (hint, bring WAY more than you think you'll need) and a positive cooperative attitude. I do not offer reshoots for things that are client responsibilities.. my prices are very affordable, my time is valuable, and I take pride in my work. Trust me, if something isn't "working", I will fix it and freely extend your session time if necessary.
